Build Progress Gallery
What an incredible learning experience. Everything is new and unknown when you throw yourself into a foreign, unfamiliar situation or environment. Huge learning curves = self discovery opportunities. It's easier to say that and laugh now in November vs. early in January. But back then, less patience led to more site challenges. Rushing to finish a project and misjudging an unwieldy, too large loft floor piece on the ladder. And so the "so-called incredible" experience took the form of a wake up call to chill out. Slow down and focus. Catapulting backwards half way down the ladder to the floor from the Zen storage loft!. It was a wake up call that I heeded.
A Picture can speak a thousand words (and thankfully far better than I can write)... More details for each build progress picture are accessed by clicking the images below. the Wandering Campsite
The camping experience took some location adaptations. Ants, rain, the position of the sun and then snow prompted several different moves. Critical, and number one on the list was cat comfort. Moving accommodations frequently is NEVER number one on their list of "Happy Times". .
Early Interior!
Welcome! Come on in! You can see the plywood sub floor and the plywood walls. I had no idea how far this look would come for November, 2018.
Build Site Workspaces
It was freeing to make the leap from office chair and computer screen to outdoor workspaces. But, there was a fearsome learning curve too! I had to keep saying, "one day at a time, take it one day and one power tool at a time". A major shout out to all the power tool videographers. Some were just awesome! Thank you YOU TUBERS!!!
Interior Task List
It was a real eye-opener to learn to accurately plan, pace and accomplish physical tasks. One never knows what you can run in to each day, a nail preventing final board placement, undelivered (but they said they delivered it) materials, faulty measurements forcing another try. So very cool to SEE your work progressing.
Projects
Project Organization. It just can't be escaped no matter in what field you work. And par usual, even the "best laid plans can go awry".
What's Left??
Holy Smokes! Electrical, Solar, Plumbing. I need another pair of hands. This furry little guy is super comfy in his Zen loft. But there's so much MORE to do. Maybe I need a clone, where does one order those?
